Step into a swirling universe with this large handmade glass art marble — a breathtaking, one-of-a-kind flameworked piece created in my studio using premium borosilicate glass.
The heart of this orb features a mesmerizing floating tumbled opal suspended in clear glass. It flashes vivid rainbows of fiery magenta, electric blue, vibrant orange, and pearl-white play-of-color, like a living star captured in glass.
Encircling this radiant core is a dynamic fume line vortex: gold and silver fume lines spiral deep into the marble abyss. Intricate layers of fine silver fume stringers wriggle their way around the outer layer of the vortex.
The exterior bursts with fluid, bold swirls in creamy yellows, rich reds, cool blues, and luminous golds, wrapping the deep midnight blue base in waves of color and energy for a truly cosmic feel.
This substantial marble is perfect as a collector showcase piece or an addition to any collection.
(PLEASE NOTE : Gold and silver fume work is known as "color changing" glass due to its ability to look either translucent or vibrant and colorful depending on the lighting conditions and background.. bright lighting over a dark background will bring out the colors in the fume)
